"That's right: the dragon fights in this dragon game are no good."

I hate to say I told you so, so I won't.......even though I kind of just did. While noone can deny that the visuals on this game look amazing, it never looked fun to me. It's not surprising then to me that it is getting trashed by critics. Graphics are a great compliment to a game. What matters most, is if a game is fun to play. If the graphics are great as well, that's just gravy. I had alot of fun playing the game Leather Goddess of Phobos, and it didn't have any graphics. I also played Doom 3, that was a highmark at the time it came out, and I hated it. I hope they will take a lesson from this and pay more attention to the gameplay.

Dont worry, Heavenly Sword and Warhawk will carry the system for a few weeks till the other games come out.

i was expecting this, the IGN guys didnt like it at all. If it was a starwars game then they would have given it a higher score.

Well yeah, just how a game that's set in WW2 will likely get higher ratings then a game set in the Spanish American War if the games were almost exactly the same but had different graphics to reflect it as such.

Starwars >>>> Generic Dragons when it comes to franchises.

Just how if someone released a game exactly like Pokemon it wouldn't sell or review half as well as pokemon.

i could have sworn the digimon games sold decently...

How do you know if a Spanish American war game would be rated low.. it probably hasnt been done.. just like a revolutionary war game, or civil war game.

I didn't say it would be rated low.  Just that it would be rated lower.  Like a half a point or a point.  I don't think Lair would of been rated that much better then it was.  Maybe a point more at 5.5.  They have a digimon game out like Pokemon though?  That's weird.  I'd expect Digimon games to be a lot different then Pokemon games since the basis of that show if I remember right was that each kid only got one Digimon each.  How did they go into a "collect them all" mode?  Even if they sold decently i'd be surprised if they moved half of what pokemon did since Pokemon games sell like mad.

It's the same reason it's Mario Party and not Nintendo Party or something.  Mario Party will likely get higher reveiws because of the brand.  Brand quality is a huge factor when it comes to sales and reviews and the like.  I mean look at the Iphone.  There 500 dollars and really don't do anything that other cheaper phones on the market already do... except give you the option of getting fingerprints on your phone screen instead of having a built in keyboard you can pull out.

I wonder how that Civil War FPS sold.  I heard that one came out that was fun, but likely reviewed poorly since it takes forever to reload. (though that's accurate considering the era.)

I too said months ago that Lair wouldn't sell systems. Looks like I'll be right.

Speaking of Lair, where is Washimule when you need him? This is the game that signals PS3 domination.

Also, LOL @ IGNs comments on the water looking really shitty - especially after all the crap they said about how technically advanced it is.
