3D metroid have nothing on Super metroid

3 d Metroid is impressively done but Super Metroid is an immortal classic, perfect in every way possible and will stand the test of time as one of the greatest games of all time (it already has), that is something the Prime saga never will.

I´m a bit biased also because generally I love 2d games more than 3d and I don´t like the first person perspective either. To me the Prime saga was very good games but it was like a new series. I did not get the classic Metroid feeling except for a few times. In my opinon they took the concept of the series too far from the roots. But of course the Prime series is still very good.

Metroid Prime was longer and more original than Super Metroid and had no irritating wall-jumping. Super Metroid is excellent but in my books it doesn't approach the masterpiece that is MP. Oh well, it's better than the prospect of Fusion or MP2 coming in first.

Well considering that almost everything in Metroid Prime is based off of Super Metroid, you can't really call it more original.

There were quite a few 2D platformers is the SNES days, but Super Metroid style of gameplay was different than the others.

Wall jumping was one of the things that made Metroid Prime different.  Experts would use wall jumping to break the normal sequence of gameplay.

This has got to be one of the worst managed Elimination games I've ever seen:

Unclear rules caused soooo many improper votes(+1 only, -1 only, or +1&-1 are invalid)
No rule as to time between votes(yes kylie multiple votes are allowed, though usually separated by an hour or two for larger lists and up to a day for smaller ones)
Starting each game with 5 points instead of 10 combined with allowing a double minus from the beginning makes it far too easy for a few voters to control which game gets eliminated
Not copying the previous voter causes votes to be missed
Leaving out the eliminated games is just WRONG!

Finally, this game is still going. I dare not try to sort out all of the votes, but at least two games remain.

In my opinion, Super Metroid is one of the best 2-d game of all time. The first Prime is one of the best 3-d game of all time. Metroid is a better 3-d game today so I stand in my position : for me, Metroid Prime is the best game of the series and maybee my best game of all time
