Whenever someone mentions the Final Fantasy Series a lot of people seem to say that Final Fantasy VIII is the worst one. (Take a look at XI and XII) I dont get it, I loved the game, the story to me was awesome, Characters like-able, graphically the game kicked ass at its time, AND who didnt like the GUNBLADE!!!! THE GUNBLADE!!!!

no idea. it has much better graphics than vii and doesn't look like a sierra on-line adventure game from the eighties.

I like it but the final boss was insanely hard.  In her final stage in space one hit would blow all my powers away.

I had to use that Hero's aura thing that made me invincible and I PWNed her with Lionheart

because i never got to finish it. i got to the boss that kills odin but i never beat him. my game got stolen

I don't think most people hate the game it was rated fairly high. I personally did not own a ps1 and when I bought the ps2 I tried playing the game after playing both Final Fantasy 9&10 first, and I just could not for the life of me get into the game. I only played a few hours of it but it was very boring trying to force myself to get to the point where it picked up. That is just me though, and like I said the game had great reviews so I am not sure where the hate would come from. Who knows I might have enjoyed it if I had played it when the game came out but it just looked so bad on an hd tv.

I still haven't started the game... I'll get back to you on that :P

FFVIII is one of the greatest FF games of all times regardless of what others think lol.
