I think add-ons can have a bigger effect than you think. I bought GTA IV for 360, instead of the PS3, for the added content even though I don't have it yet and haven't finished GTA IV yet. I also think that the 360 got a boost from its reputation for having the better version of multiplat games, but I think that has been wearing out a bit lately.
