Yes shooters are my preference pristine.

I dont get your comment on KZ been the only fps on ps2.

I was just making a point overall that this gen is actually quite special.

still maybe you disagree on that and that is fair enough.

Your OP makes sense now. you should have gotten an xbox last gen but still this gen has been very great for shooters that even I who never played a shooter previously had to start playing them this gen lol.

Also, in ps2's heyday, I don't remember there being any other fps games aside from Killzone

Yeah, Dawn of War 2 bored the crap out of me, I'll go give it another shot sometime, maybe. But I'm not even playing it while my ps3 is off on repairs. I bought STALKER but hated it. The game I'm playing at the moment is Red Alert 2 xD

This gen rocks my socks off, I love it.

People forget how far. The only true reason people have these days for saying the past gens are truly better is nostalgia for them, and personal experiences. Strictly speaking, if you gave someone a Genesis and an Xbox 360 who had never played either, they'd obviously say that the 360 blows the Genesis games out of the water. Or a PS1 to PS3, etc. or even a PS2 to Xbox 360 or something from just last gen.

It isn't bad to let our personal experiences make us believe past gens of games are better, but reality will almost always dictate that the current generations will always be the best. IMO, Doom is still the greatest game I've ever played.



GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

The only think that's impressed me this gen is Uncharted and I'm sure it would have been less impressive if I had played ND's game's last gen. I totally missed Jak & Daxter.
