Forums - Sony - my Killzone 2 Review/Impressions(SPOILERS)...

I was originally not all that excited for this game. I was much more into the world that Resistance had created then I ever was for Killzone 2. I figured I would only get one of them. Yet when I saw the "Symphony of Death" video I started to really look deeper into it. I informed myself of the previous entries to see if I would even care. I played through parts of KZ1, not that bad of a story, just REALLY laggy and buggy. The controls were inventive yet the lag and bug issues killed it.

I read the backstories from the main site as well. They were really informative of what was going on in the background of KZ.

So I decided I was very much interested in this game. I couldn't afford to get it right off the bat but was anticipating doing so sooner or later. I kept up with all the reviews of the game. Most very positive. The only gripes were all nitpicks of minor trifles. The one thing I kept hearing though was that the story was garbage (in so many words). Now that I have finally played through the entire story mode I must disagree....

I really like the campaign. It emulated a warzone so perfectly without adding in tons of gimmicky missions just for variety(although the six axis control objectives left some to be desired). Radec is THE SHIT!!! The battle with him at the end has to be one of the most enjoyable I have ever played in a shooter. The guy is just fucking running at you with a damn knife going "You can just call me your surgeon!". Garza dying was touching and furthered the instillment of my hatred for Rico (which I believe the developers wanted). The voice acting in certain parts needed some work, sort of hit and miss. For the most part I enjoyed the little spats between Garza and Natko.

Multiplayer Speaks for itself. EPIC!(Minus some of the hit detection, COD MUCH?) doing Clan battles with Joseph21, MakingMusic, etc everyday is the shit(I revel in killin MM and Jo LOL XD)

Agree?Disagree?Points of interest?

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

what saved the story for me was the end.
visari voice acting is SICK!.

radec was bastard he had me running all around the library becuase of his knife i had to turn fast enough to gun him before he killed me.

my only grip with the game boss battle could have been more frequent and epic.

i remenber the guy that you had to shoot for the black, the huge air support like thing, the guy you have to shoot from behind with a electro gun, and radec.

i find myself killing you more than you killing me in multiplayer =D.

*goes master his scout and saboteour c4*

btw: for those who don't know I ALWAYS pick helghast if i can >_>.

those ISA scums be ready :D

yep the story was very good. Radec and Garza are two of the best characters in the game. And the Radec boss battle was epic.

@outlaw

@jo
although i think it would have been rly cool to have multiple BOSS fights, i can respect GGs approach to it.

just think of it this way, it is sort of the design opposie of Shadow of the Colossus.SotC only had Boss fights, yet no regular planted enemies to impied ur path. if they did put minions in it would of felt like filler action.

KZ2 has majority minions, mini boss battles, and one awesomely epic boss. its a game that is just constantly gaining momentum until it climax at the Radec battle. Even with the game's ending the momentum stayed firm, getting us all ready for KZ3!

Oh, and does anyone els love the credits? the Atac Attack Song=EPIC!

Really ??

to me the story mode was Average nothing in the story that yelled anything special beside Vassri who's voice acting was top notch and every line was EPIC but all other voice actors were mediocre to bad especially Rico one of the most annoying characters ever !!!

but the Online now that's something else that's were all the beef is in KZ2 I already clocked 22 hours and I can't say that it's nothing other than amazing

any way I could write a long post about the online and all the things I really find amazing about it but I wanted just to comment on the Story mode
