Are we playing the same game?

1) I just noticed the tearing running the game in 1080i, changed to 720p and haven't had any since.

2) What? The cutscenes take up the whole screen on my TV. It's 16:10 though i think.

3) I never really noticed that, i keep running and by the time i stop she's right behind me.

4) Now THIS is what i don't believe. I'm halfway through the game and she almost never takes the stuff i don't unless i ask her to or try to leave the place without picking it up. Also, she mostly heals me when my life is REALLY low, or hers for that matter. My only gripe with her is that if she gets her hands on a handgun or a machine gun she gets a bit trigger-happy and goes through bullets like fucking chewing gum so i just gave her the shotgun and a rifle and i sold her handgun and SMG.

5) Totally agree on that one. Lame opening cutscene.

As for point #2, how big is your TV? I'm running the cutscenes on a 42" 1080p Sony Bravia. And it is clearly running 2:35:1 aspect ratio.

Woah that's a big TV you got there :P

Mine is a 26" Bravia.

This is good to hear...on my 67 inch samsung it will be running in a  gazillion:2 gazillion:3 gazillion aspect ratio :)

Aspect ratio by definition does not depend on the size.
But TV settings might be the culprit here: DarkPrince's TV might be set to one of those "auto" aspect modes that when detecting letterbox bars rescale or zoom the image to fill the actual screen area.

Lol, a TV like that wouldn't even fit in my room xD

@WereKitten

What you mean is probably the "Smart" aspect ratio setting on Bravias, and no i don't have this as the selected one. It just says "Widescreen" :P

Weird then :)
Going back to the original thread topic, how would you rate Sheva's AI? That's what worries me most... I am used to RE controls but I plan to play it on my own 99% of the time. Is she just mildly annoying or a pain in the butt? Is inventory juggling in real time as uncomfortable as it looked in the demo?

She's not that bad. Just slightly annoying IMO.

About the inventory thing, it's not uncomfortable at all. If anything it adds to the tension. Also, i rarely even open it since you can assing 4 weapons on the D-Pad so you only need to use it to heal yourself.

No need to install load times are mininal on the 360. The load time between cutscenes and game play is negligable. Not sure about the PS3 version anyone want to chime in for PS3?

Now Playing: Crysis 2

Last Finished: BulletStorm

Online IDs: PSN: computermaximus, XBL: computermaximus

i am actually impressed it have 1080p support, i was thinking it was going to go only 720p, i know its not native 1080, but can it be reescaled ?, maybe you should try on 720p to see the full screen

That must be the case. I use HDMI on my 360 and all my games are 16:9 leaving black bars on top and below the screen. If I connect through composite cable I can resize to full screen, but HDMI only allows me to view the true aspect ratio.

there is a thread on vgc about igns head to head they said the 360 was 1-2 sec slower loading i was wondering if the 360's loads would get faster wen re5 was installed it never really clarified if they had the game installed or not in the head to head
