WaW was also a game that spanned multiple platforms and sold less on the Wii than the others. The conduit is an exclusive.  The conduit also looks to be a better game compared to the Wii version of WaW. So if we gone by your logic CoD3(wii version) should have sold more than Red Steel, because it is a bigger series.

 

Not a fair comparison in my opinion.  CoD 3 didn't have multiplayer.  Red Steel did.  This is a huge selling point.  CoD: WaW has online multiplayer.  I just don't think that the Conduit is going to sell the super high amounts that some people think that it's going to.  FPS don't sell well on the Wii.  They just don't.

Well, COD is a huge franchise & had a lot of marketing including Wii specific TV ads. I don't think it will outsell COD but it will sell a lot, at least half a mln.

It will roll past 1 million, then 2. I think it will go near 3 million by the end of this generation.

Call of Duty is the wake up call. The Conduit is the strong cup of joe that will shock the industry to alertness.

On top of the sheer quality of the game we've seen so far, Sega is clearly spending money advertising their most recent games on the Wii. They are going to pump ads out for the Conduit the likes of which we haven't seen yet. (From a third party on Wii.)

It depends on good marketing as stated in the op.

Otherwise,I think it could settle around the 350k - 400k range.If marketed correctly,I think 750k+ may happen.

Even with decent reviews average marketing the game should sell a million.. anything better and it should easily be in the 2mil category.

so yeah, COD:WaW will be overtaken.

and am surprised people still use statements like "Fps don't sell on wii. They really dontl"

If it really is a good game, not only good looking game i am certain that with decent media campaign the Conduit will be able to sell at least 2 million copies. Many Wii owners do desire good FPS experience (with good online) and that is what this game could offer.
