I don't agree one bit after playing the demo. Still I liked how you could not only quickly move from cover to cover that is side by side like in gears but also cover that is located further up in the environment. It didn't feel as smooth as Gears' cover system though. I agree that Uncharted has had the best cover system in a TPS though. It's a streamlined version of Gears' cover sytem. Why then is it better? For the simple reason that one button doesn't do everything. Too often in Gears do I perform the wrong move and die because of it which frustrates the hell out of me. I'm surprised they didn't fix this problem with the second one despite both being increabible games.
