ok, i been told that you have to reformat your external hard drive to fat32 in order to transfer your data from your external hd to your ps3.how do you do reformat? also i just got a 320 2.5' sata internal hard drive and after i installed it to my ps3 it says its not finding it, what do i do about that as well? thanx

I used this video when I did my Ps3 upgrade to a 250gb HDD.

assuming you are on Windows

Right click on your external HDD > Format > File system > Switch from NTFS to FAT32

as for your other problem I have no Idea

^^ i did all of that an all it says is NTFS,m it doesnt have fat32 on there.

Is your HDD compatible with your PS3???

It has to be 2.5-inch SATA HDD 5400rpm and also when I upgraded my pS3 I used a standard External Hdd It didnt have any issue with formatting. Also when you turn on your PS3 it should automatically ask you to format the internal HDD if it does not then the HDD might not be compatible or not properly installed.
