I had a 360 and the damn thing kept RROD on me. Its kind of hard for me to trust that if I shell out 200 bucks on a new one it wont do that again. sorry but I like having my things last
Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.
"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.
Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
Not on your Ps3 but on your PSP...i really think Agito is coming this year for the Americans and maybe Europeans...and FF XIII and Versus definatly 2010 for all non-Japanese Gamers.

That I understand but the 360 is more reliable now. I understand your frustration regarding SE. Personally, I think their games aren't worth as much attention as they did in the SNES-PS1 and the beginning of the PS2 era.
How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

Agito is being released after XIII itself, so unfortunately no. :(

You could say that 200k respectable speech if we say new IPs or regular JRPG franchises, but, this is STAR OCEAN, not at the heights of the huge ones: Pokemon, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, but its one of the ones that manage to pass the million line... Look at Star Ocean: Till the End of Time sales: Japan: 500k (400k first week) US: 740k (Probably between 250k and 500k first week) EU: 90k Total: 1.33M (1.24M with only Japan+US) Now look at Star Ocean: The Last Hope sales: Japan: 185k (160k first week) US: 60k first week (With a 16.58 million userbase, it's not like Japan) Total: 245k If the game continues to sell like this in the US and Japan, i'll be surprised if it gets to half of SO3 numbers, and that's really bad for the franchise... |
That's why I added the going the way of the point and click adventure thing. You can't expect a dying genre to do as well as it did in its glory days.
All it takes is for one of the huge ones to bomb and the genre is doomed. I don't think SO4 is that one, but that one is coming up and we will see how it does.
we may have a chance of getting lord of vermillion from square-enix for ps3 this year don't lose hope.

Death is nothing to fear
All death means is a new destination

What jRPG fans have against 360? If they want so much to play the jrpgs exclusive of 360 and have money to buy the system why they just don't go and buy it? It's just like say that if a movie they I really want to watch isn't be going to be shown in my favourite channel i just won't watch it. The 360 is the rpg machine this generation, first place for jrpgs and second for wrpgs(any console will never take PC place for wrpg anyway), and The Last Remnant and Lost odyssey probably will reach a million ´til the end of the year.
Last Remnant and SO4 should both hit the PS3 sometime this year (most likely announced after the current fiscal year ends) but unfortunately there is zero chance of FFXIII hitting NA/EUR shores this year.

It's all about the game.
yeah 1/4 million for a game thats been out in Japan for 2 weeks and America for 1 week. Huge flop! Its not like its going to sell in Europe or anything.
