Well, now with the release of RE5 just around the corner, it got me thinking about the previous games in the series. Which ones did I finish, which ones were or were not great, which systems I bought it for, etc. There are a few I still have to finish, but I won't make it before the RE5 release!

RE 1 - Finished it on PS1, bought it again on GC, might play it again someday on GC, Classic!

RE 2 - Finished on PS1, but also bought DC & GC versions, my fave until RE4 came out.

RE 3 Nemesis - Got about half way on PS1, then got the DC version, then the GC version and started over, not quite finished.

RE Code Veronica (X) - Started it on the DC, started over on GC when I got the GC and finished it.

RE 0 - Got it on GC, have not started it yet.

RE Dead Aim - Got it for PS2, gun game, pretty weak.

RE4 - Bought a GC mostly just for this. Finished it on GC, one of the best games I've ever played! Have not played the PS2 version yet, but I did get it, any different?

RE5 - Hopefully getting it on Friday the 13th. This might be the first game I ever buy on release day.

To answer your question, the PS2 version of RE4, while the graphics aren't as good, has an unlockable at the end of the game called Separate Ways, which details what Ada was doing at different points throughout Leon's adventure (different from Assignment Ada).

I beat all of them...and I think Code Veronica is the hardest game in the series. I won't get RE5(PS3) right away because reviewers are saying it's an Action-game instead of Survival Horror. so I'll stick to KZ2 for now.

Play Resident Evil 0! Especially if you enjoyed the Older RE games with fixed camera, it has some great locations, a possibility of swapping characters, interesting enemies. Plus it explains a lot about the overall story, and how all the stuff started.

RE2 was the best, followed then by 4 and 1.

Yeah, I forgot the Outbreaks 1 & 2, I have them but have not played them yet becasue I heard they were bad. I have thousands of games, so tough to choose what to play next.

Oh, and there was a director's cut version of RE1 for PS1. Anyone know the differences? I assumed more blood and gore!
