Well....Japan is rather slow right now, but I think next week it'll pick up for the Wii. With the launch of House of the Dead:Overkill...it don't see it beating the Wii next week.

@s.t.a.g.e i can't do much about sales and if people want to spend their money on the consoles with the worst games on them, that is their own business / fault, but as I pointed out as far as the quality of the games go which is the reason why people should buy the consoles several reputable sources said the ps3 had the best games of all three systems in 08, and the 360 and ps3 were pretty much spli in terms of quality games in'07 with halo, bioshock, and mass effect on 360 and uncharted, ratchet and clank future, heavenly sword, ninja gaiden sigma, and folklore on the ps3 in direct refutation of jeronimo's statement about superior years. As far as GT being just another racing game goes, what other racer has sold over 30 million units on three consoles while maintaining a review average well above 90 out of 100 at IGN through all installments?

It could be possible...

RE 5 will sell so good too in Japan, specially PS3 version... so I think it will increase hardware too.

Both games are so strong they could put PS3 in 1st place.

So are you saying that sales aren't directly related to quality?  I would think that good quality ='s major sales and this is why the 360 is a software sales leader.  As for the system with the best games on it, I would have to give that directly to the 360.  It has more games that I like and am willing to buy.  But game preference is subjective anyways.

-First of all the Xbox 360 doesn't have the worst games. The 360 has over over 20 games rated  90 and up on Metacritic. The PS3 only has 11 and the Wii only has 8 games with an over 90 rating.

- People bought the 360 over the PS3 because it was the cheaper HD alternative with a much larger library.

- Quality is subjective.

- The 360 and the PS3 were by no means equal on levels of great games in 07. In 08 it was close as it was Gears 2, Fable 2, L4D, and Ninja Gaiden 2 vs Resistance 2, LBP, and MGS4, but the 360 got the upper hand in terms of sales by pulling away from from the 5 M console gap Sony had closed to 8 M. 2008 belonged to MS as far as HD consoles are concerned.

In conclusion 2009 will be a close year as the PS3's top game of 2009 is already launched.

My friend quality is not always determined by sales. Hype is a huge attribute of sales.

Not always, but for the most part it is, there are always exceptions (esp.. when there are no good alternatives on your system).  When was the last time you saw an absolute horrid game sale really well?
