Forums - Nintendo - Do you guys understand how important Madworld and The Conduit are?

If these games tank then you can forget about hardcore games on the wii. Devlopers are watching these games very closly. These two games are very important to the wii's future. We all have to go buy Madworld so we can send a message to devs that we want more than just mini game collections and pet sims on the wii. Plus Madworld is a good game from what i hear from early reviews.

I hear ya...you are saying to yourself that this guy is crazy, but i can assure you these two games are holding the future of hardcore wii games on their backs. Much like Atlas held the world on his back in greek mythology. Heck if Madword and The Conduit sell well then maybe Winter will finally get a publisher.

as long as there will be ad campaign those games will sell good.

Both are pre-ordered

I think your overstating the importance of these games to the sucess of Hardcore titles on the Wii.

If they both sold excellently then yes , that probably would be encouraging but you won't see 2X - 3X increase in the rate of harcore title release . If they both sold poorly it would be somewhat discouraging to the average developer but I still couldn't forsee a decline in the rate of hardcore titles being released for the Wii.

As the recession deepens and the Wii userbase continues to grow the console will increasingly be seen as a viable option , developers will have to take the same risks on the Wii that they do with high budget PS3/360 games.

Madworld has been advertised during wrestling along with Hose of The Dead for a few weeks now.

I'm not afraid these games will bomb, but even if they do they impact will be small. If publishers seriously have waited until sales results for MadWorld and Conduit are in their games won't release before 2011.

If these games bomb maybe some running projects will get cancelled, but with numerous mature games doing fine on Wii I don't think everyone will stop making core Wii games.

Basically publishers have already decided by now or won't make games for Wii anyway.

Define hardcore games because I have a thought that yours and my definition will probably differ.

Why would devs continuously milk a cow if they are not getting any milk from her? The answer is that they are not. They are gonna send her to the slaughter and start to milk a fresh cow with hugh utters.

Get my point?

Do you wnat me to say M rated games? I'm not that stupid. Hardcore games are games for gamers, not games for gamers moms and little sister. Ben 10 is not a hardcore game neither is wii music. Zelda is and so is believe it or not pokemon is a hardcore game. Madworld is a hardcore game and We Ski is not. 50 cent bullet proof is not a hardcore game, but 50 cent blood on the sand is kinda.....

You need to tweak it a little bit, then it might work. Not bad for a first try though.

Tweak what?
