They say this is only the beginning as they have upcoming exclusives so yes Killzone 2 has the best graphics as of now. Just like when Gears of War had the best graphics when it was released. It will be surpased(KZ2) soon.

Most likely, games evolve. I doubt KZ2 is the highest graphics can go.

Definitely. My point is that nothing else on consoles, available as of the 9th of March, 2009, looks as good as Killzone 2.

Halo 4 & Gears of War 3 will be next Xbox titles....so as far as 360 surpassing Killzone 2 visuals, it's possible, but needs 3-4 yrs of dev time on 360.

They also admitted they had 'better looking games' unnannounced for THIS year. If you believe Microsoft said A, then you must believe they also said B which in all fairness probably invalidates the reasoning in the post I responded to first. (No offense intended)

I think the 360 will stay behind the ps3 on the graphic department for the rest of this gen.
I dont know witch console is more powerful or witch one has better gpu?cpu?wtf?
But i do know that Microsoft is lacking the first party development to squeeze all the power from the 360.

On the ps3 side we have, naughty dog, insomniac, guerrilla, santa monica, polyphony digital, Ico team, and then some. Working together to max out the ps3. (i always read stories of how the God of war developers helped killzone 2 reach that level. And how insomniac helped naughty dog have more enemies on screen)

On 360 side we have bungie and rare, witch their games haven't challenge the 360 capabilities. And those alan wake dudes but i don't know anything about them. And I dont think its posible for the unreal engine 3 to surpass killzone2. It will have to be a new tech by first party development.

If we learned something last generation is that a powerful console will only get you half way. You need the talent to take the console to its max.

Xbox 360 - 4 years on the market.
PS3 - 3 years on the market.


Best looking game? On PS3. I doubt the 360 has tons of hidden power that hasn't already been revealed.

Gears 3 could potentially pass Kill Zone 2 (Assuming Gears 3 is on the 360.) Although, I believe that only happens if Gears 3 gets a new engine built from the ground up.

Microsoft says they have better looking games up their sleeves(But I'll believe that when I see ANY game that they have coming out that looks like it might be better than GoW3, Uncharted 2, GT5, KZ2).

Alan Wake? No way...people fear new things maybe a sequel....GeoW 3? Maybe or Maybe not Goew 2 was not impressive to me at all

His logic doesn't make much sense, but neither does your logic, because we have no proof of these unnannounced games looking better than KZ2. Of course, there are no more games being made for the GameCube, while plenty more are being made for 360.

He does have a point, though, in that despite the year advantage for MS, the best looking game so far this gen is on PS3. Partly because of four years of development, but still.

You forget to mention about $50 million spent just for the game to sell about 3.5million(unless bundled). And even if the PS3 has the better looking games that doesn't really make the console more successfull. Look at the GC and Xbox. I am sure MS is happy having a crapier looking game like Halo 3 sell 9million than having one which needed more money to make to only sell 3.5million.
