Lost planet and Killzone 2 CANNOT be muttered in the same breath....nice try though.  I think alan wake is the next candidate, but I am thinking either it is going to be God of War 3 or Grand Turismo 5 for the win

Epic has not made a goodlooking game since forever, so graphically it's kind of a walkover victory for K2.

yes with ease, gears 2 is damn close to killzone 2 right now. so gears 3 is easly going to pass killzone 2, not a problem at all.

Killzone 2 is a fantastic looking game, I don't think surpassing it will be an easy task. That's not to say it can't be done. I'm sure the 360 is still yet to be pushed to its limits, and there is a good chance that another game could surpass the graphical standard of that of Killzone 2. It could be Gears of War 3, could be something else. But too my knowledge, the PS3 has the more power hardware, and if developers are good at developing for it, a high quality standard can be produced from the system, and it, like the 360, is yet to be pushed to it's limits, I would think.

yeah, it'll be better than killzone 2. gow 3 vs k3 will be a little more difficult though. always gonna be a gears fan though

two different art styles to compare in my opinion, gears is going for the artsy look, while killzone 2 is more of the realistic industrial rusty look, so I think you cant really compare to begin with, if you were to ask me which game looks better though I would have to say killzone 2, but that once again is because of the different approaches to the art, halo would be a better game to compare killzone 2 plus they are both first person shooters, lets see what halo 3: odst has to offer then we can compare fps to fps, we dont have to wait long, september folks.
