Recently Microsoft released a statement stating that their upcoming games will surpass Killzone 3, which got me thinking which game will surpass killzone 2 which is quite an achievement in itself. I'm assuming its Gears of war 3, with Epic having understood how to get the best out of the 360, Gears 3 is in for a shot to either match or surpass Killzone 2, another game that has peaked my interest is Alan Wake its a game that could challenge Killzone 2 but who knows? only time will tell!

Let me ask you this what game do you think does Microsoft have up their sleeve? Microsoft is well known for putting its money where its mouth is, the question is how long will we have to wait for that game to be released.

all in all gaming can only get better and we haven't seen the the best of both the ps3 and the 360, with skilled developers such as Naughty dog, Epic, Bungie, Guerilla Games. Its great to be a gamer - I just hope i can afford these games my games library is growing faster than my dvd library which means Gaming is the no1 form of entertainment, a year from now people won't be visiting the cinema instead they will be killing each other on Psn/Live

Anyway, Yes.....Gears 3 will surpass KZ2, but there'll be a Playstation title that surpasses that and the cycle will continue

It's my opinion, I think X360 is not capable to make a game that looks better than KZ2.

I dont think so. by the time GeOW 3 arrives Killzone 2's sale would be higher than Gears 2 so there.

No, it won't. Gears 2 already made some sacrifices in order to look better than Gears 1 (draw distance, lighting effects).

 lol, not in this lifetime. A title that does ~2 million in it's first weekend versus one that does ~750k there is zero chance.

Maybe Gears 3 will surpass it... but who says Gears 3 will be on the 360? May be a launch title for the next box. Anyway... the only game whats coming up so far on 360 what could possibly match KZ2 is Alan Wake, but by the time thats released there will probably be Uncharted2, Heavy Rain and maybe GOW3 and GT5.
