Like you I played the game but didn't beat it... Is too repetitive for my taste. But I would give it a solid 8 too...

 

Saying that Cryostasis is superior I mean it's story, physics and graphics (which are undoubtly superior).

 

In terms of gameplay it differs a bit from bioshock, but not much... It's some sort of mix between bioshock and Condmned.

 

So have you played Cryostasis?

Nope.  I'm not a PC gamer and I get turned of by the first person point of view in a lot games.  It looks nice, but it's not for me.

Dude while bioshock got heavily advertised and got beautiful trailers fullfiled with the best part of cut-sceanes, this game simply don't!

 

First time I heard about it, it was from a russian friend, first I thought he was just hyped for the game because the game is russian made. But it isn't because of it, the game is just good. Try it.

The game didnt really look at that impressive to me.

Bioshock is one of my favorite games this gen,it would be pretty tough to beat and this game doesnt quite look up to snuff.

He makes a good point. Its not like you would be stupid enough to think the best movies are always the ones that are the most expensive with the broadest ad campaigns, why do games still have this disease?

I know critically Bioshock is called the best writing ever but wtf, its a ripoff, like Lost, of a bunch of excellent books on sociology and psychology. Its not clever in that it genuinely offers intellectual forsight never before seen, no its a copy.
