First time I heard about it, it was from a russian friend, first I thought he was just hyped for the game because the game is russian made. But it isn't because of it, the game is just good. Try it.

He makes a good point. Its not like you would be stupid enough to think the best movies are always the ones that are the most expensive with the broadest ad campaigns, why do games still have this disease?
I know critically Bioshock is called the best writing ever but wtf, its a ripoff, like Lost, of a bunch of excellent books on sociology and psychology. Its not clever in that it genuinely offers intellectual forsight never before seen, no its a copy.
