Star ocean 3 sold more than 1 million copies, this time, it will probably sell less than 500k...

Thats utterly incorrect.

Its selling faster then the last remnant did and that sold over 500k.

VGchartz is incorrect about TLR.

Square-enix has only shipped 490k units of that one worldwide. It's probably at 400k or so.

Star Ocean is a big franchise. The last one sold 1.3M in Japan and NA alone.

It doesn't matter which way you look at it, The Last Hope's sales have been dreadful so far.

I doubt its going to do well at all. We're probably going to see this on the PS3 by the Holiday season as well as Tales Of Vesperia and The Last Remnant

Probably all three on one Blu-Ray lol

So3 in usa 750k, in japan 500k+200k collector=750k.
So with Europe the game approach the 2 millions.
With the cost of a next gen game so 4 is a massive flop, with no doubt.

So is Valkyria Chronicles. And so is White Knight Story.

The sales really don't seem bad to me, but that's probably because I view it as a niche title that only crazy people like me would enjoy. I'm not really crazy, though.

From what I have seen of the game, it should have been released for the Wii if it wanted better sales. It's not like the graphics or anything required a 360 or PS3.

How can you say that about WHC... its only been released in Japan and its going to sell at least 350K there... who knows what it will do WW.

Valkyria Chronicles had a significantly smaller budget than SO, no doubt. It has no fancy cut scenes and the graphics really don't push the PS3 at all (although the art direction is fantastic). It also sold fairly well for an SRPG.

Remember SO has been in developement since before PS3 dev kits were available, or at least that is there excuse for why it isn't on the PS3. So SO has been in developement for longer than 3 years.
