I don't know about promotions yet. My main question is, is there any reason not to turn Jagen into a Dracoknight? It looks good in every way, but I'm kinda suspicious about it.

My Bord has leveled up a ton and gotten really good, because I've had him use hammers on almost every knight in the game.

My Ogma is amazing too.

You get more than enough Cavaliers and Paladins in that game, pretty much all of whom are better than Jeigan at his job (he comes pre-promoted, but his base stats at what could basically be considered level 21 are only a tiny bump up from, say, Frey, Cain, or Abel's stats at lvl 1. Having him do anything else is preferred, though the optimal choice is to sacrifice him way back in the prologue

Of all the Jeigans in Fire Emblem history, Jeigan is, interestingly, one of the worst. He comes pre-promoted, but with none of the ass-kicking awesomeness of someone like Titania or Sothe from 9 or 10 respectively

I knew that name looked familiar, but I couldn't put my finger on it, so I sacrificed him

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Highest according to VGChartz I meant

I know. I was just putting some data that we don't have.

Although, that was the first FE in America.

And the GBA RPG addicts bought it up. Remember, GBA was the system for RPGs last gen.

lol!

I second that lol.

Anyhow xlost7, you really should do yourself the favour of buy FE: PoR (GC one). It truly is a great game as well as a great challenge.

I bought it a couple of weeks ago. Worst FE i've played [I own the other four released in Canada]. Terrible story, bad pacing and great gameplay combines for only a decent package. Not saying its bad, but there are better SRPG's out there. It's too bad IS didn't put more effort into revamping the story.

it was a remake of the orginal from 18 years ago. I could have told you it wasn't going to have much of a story at all. I just bought it for the great gameplay.

I'm on Chapter 8. It's great, just like I expected.

Don't.

If you don't own all the previous 4 that is (so it adds up to a double negative meaning if you do, buy this one too).

This game is the worst FE to reach American shores. It lacks the steps forward that have been implented after the original, and it is far, far simpler and less interesting than the rest.

Buy the 2 GBA ones for your DS. You'll get them for lower price, and both are better (and longer). By far.

And if you own a Wii, get Radiant Dawn and Path of Radiance. They're bloody brilliant (but harder to get your hands on).

For your first purchase, go with FE7 (just called Fire Emblem for GBA in Americas/Others). It introduces you to the series in a great way, and is the second best game in the series (Radiant Dawn is better, but it's a sequel, so you should play 9 first, and 9 isn't as good as 7 or 10).

If you never played a Fire Emblem, Do Not get this game, get an other Fire Emblem.

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS

Dude, I was so thinking about buying the Wii version of Fire Emblem but I'm just thinking that this series requires a lot of skill and time.

There are many different difficulty settings, and believe me, easy is easy.

I'd start with the Gamecube one, it's an amazing game! The Wii one is also the sequel to that, so that's even more reason to pick up the GC one.

Oh yes then! I will buy Fire Emblem on the Gamecube next Thursday. Gamestop is charging $30 for it.

Damn.  I sacrificed Cain.

If I reclass somebody, and I'm not happy with it, can I reclass them back without permanently losing any of their stat points?  Or are most reclassings kinda negative so you can't go back and forth all the time?

I let Frey die. Didn't like his shifty eyes.

I prefer Fe9 [the first GC] to Fe7 and Fe10. It was so grand, an epic story. My personal rankings go 9>7>10>8>FEDS
