Incompetence is a large part of it. They are given jobs in India that provide a nice wage from MSFT and a nice office space in which to work in for the day. However, most are given a comp and told to get to work with maybe a day or two of training. This is incompetence on the managerial part as tech problems are a key reason why most call.

I'm glad you have reworded this in a way that is less racist, but what does attacking someone working in another country have to do with what reask's experience with Microsoft in this case?

He complained about like 5 different people which might be a language barrier thing.

Why don`t you buy a 360 BenQ drive for 40-50 euro and play?

Don`t you know people that know people? :)

Or do you still have the 3 year warranty?

I think you need to stick with it. MS has been noted for their higher than usual failure rate, but I have heard very good things about their customer service.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.

In my view I would ask you Shadow if you have ever called the help line?

So somehow the race of the tech support person has; 1 something to do with the topic? and 2 the amount of information Microsoft allows to give to the tech support individual.

It's got nothing to do with race and everything to do with an unpleasant and frustrating experience being made even more unpleasant and frustrating by virtue of the fact that you can't understand a fucking word the operator is saying. Nobody is impressed by your over devotion to political correctness, mister!

I'm not being politically correct, but halogamer has used a problem someone has had getting their xbox repaired to attack tech support jobs being focused in another country.

I temporarily worked in tech support, and I will tell you some Americans are more difficult to understand then Indians.  Although both pale in comparison to undertanding spoken word from Irish and Scottish accents.

I actually created the thread out of my frustration with the company I purchased the product off.
I have no gripe with any individuals after all they are only doing there job.

Looks more like a personal crusade to blow things way out of proportion. Calling someone a "racist" is a very powerful word, and for all I know halogamer very well could be. But I know one thing, before I go making accusations like that ima be damn sure I know for a fact they are. You derailed the whole thread to attack someone and take his statement completely out of text. I dont know if you have ever experienced racism yourself or seen it happen to others, but this isnt what it is.

@badge Heck no, I am part Irish anyway! So reask a newer drive might do or if it is a Hitachi then do the spindle trick.
