Looks like someone gave NFS some drugs.

These pics are 720p images. Damn GT5 has some great cockpit detail but this is a massive step up. This game is looking very good indeed. And these are the first batch of screens. It's also gone more realistic and from what the guy says in vid realism is on offer. It's Grid on steroids. Grid looked good, but this is awesome. Cant wait to see this game moving...

Looks fantastic. But I really hope, that there another view, because cockpit in those screens is about half of the screen. Thats too much, I could say...

Funny how things stand. I didnt buy the last 3 because well they were tosh to be honest. More realism = better for me.

This. How come everything has to be about graphics in driving games now? Sure, pretty cars sell. But I think innovative gameplay should sell more.

This^^, looks to much like another racing sim and thats not what NFS is. Looks great though, but changing it to just another racing sim takes away what made NFS different.

I miss the days when racing games were all about having interesting track layouts and being fun to play. Now they're hampering basic gameplay mechanics to show off "realistic" visuals that quite frankly fall headlong into the Uncanny Valley.

Problem is the majority of racing fans want realism, thats why GT and Forza sell millions more than their closest rivals.

Sure, Racing fans may like realism. But Mario Kart Wii says otherwise. I can't see why developers can't balance innovation with realism. It seems to be one extreme, or the other.
