Forums - Gaming - "Halo Wars is too easy, even on the hardest difficulty setting".

That is the opinion I am getting from the main reviewers: IGN, Gamepro, etc on the internet. Anyone agree or want to refute this claim.

Apparently the Computer  AI uses sophisticated tactics on the highest difficulty settings but they take too long and you can easily defeat them.

Halo Wars must be played against Human opponents instead of the Computer AI.

Seemed ridiculously easy in the demo, but I only played on normal difficulty.

isnt that like every rts?

Surely there're some extra options you can do to beef them up. Give them extra starting resources? teams with uneven numbers, or if you have AI teammates then have them on the lowest level.

I know that a tough AI is always preferable to doing this, but it certainly helps.

It's like every Ensemble RTS, at least. But although I've only played the demo, I would say that Halo Wars is even easier than Age of Empires III. Maybe somebody who already has the game can clarify or refute this.

If you are decent with RTS games, Normal and Heroic should not be a problem. Legendary will probably trip you up a little. I have completed 5 missions on normal with ease, but I did not get gold score on 3 of them. I played a skirmish on heroic and it was not difficult either. There are skulls that alter various things that will increase the difficulty. Multplayer is where this game is going to shine though. Just like Halo 3 single player is easy. Beat it on Legendary in the first couple days and never went back.

i didnt find it easy i was playing on normal and was attacking a enemy base and i was like y rnt there any guys here then my base wass attacked by these guys and i lost.

OP must never play RTS before or just trolling (agian).. they are always like that on the PC. I never have any problem playing in RTS on PC against computer AI. (And I am not very good at RTS, I grew up playing the good old turn-base stuff).

Beat the game fairly quickly (over the weekend), however, I enjoyed every single CGI cut scene. You can view them all in theater mode per individual chapter, pause them, skip them, or watch them all back to back. It is a nice touch. The multi-player is amazing, and worth the purchase, hands down!

Mine is set to Auto difficulty which is now at 92% and I have not won a game at that level in skirmish against the computer (I win nearly every game online against real people though), and no, the campaign isn't easy at all on the higher settings (specially if you try for the gold medals, skulls and still be under par on each level, not easy at all), even medium gets hard on some levels such as the one with the moving beam which you have to destroy before it destroys your base.

Halo Wars is a FANTASTIC game in so many ways, I do think some of the reviews have been very harsh with it, still got a good score though and will sell a good few million, I just wish single player was not so short as it's only 15 missions!

3vs3 Online is superb! (as long as your team mates are good at it lol)
