Forums - Gaming - Another PS3 exclusive goes multiplatform with BlazBlue!!!

The latest edition of Famitsu magazine confirms that Arc System Work's 2D fighter, BlazBlue, has gone multiplatform.  The fighter, from the creators of the popular Guilty Gear franchise, was previously thought to have been a PS3 exclusive.

BlazBlue was released to arcades earlier last year.  The game features high definition, 720P graphics and a 16:9 aspect ratio, making it one of the best looking 2D fighters.  The title is a very technical fighter, in the same vein as it's spiritual predecessor, Guilty Gear.

No stateside release has been confirmed for either platform as of now.

Couldnt care less but its bad for ps3 loosing another exclusive.

Wasn't much of an exclusive to begin with - it's already in arcades, and salewise nothing is really lighting up the charts beyond the usual suspecs (SSB, Street Fighter, Soul Calibur, etc.)

Tag - "No trolling on my watch!"

So it remains in Japan, and it's a 2D fighter. Somehow, I don't think it's going to cause that much of a ripple in possible lost sales for the PS3. And not too many gained sales for the 360 either.

Next!

As Claude said the game was never exclusive as the superior format has been available for some time now. Tekken 6 basically runs the arcades with the other games going for the scraps.

Like it had any value in the console war to begin with...

This game is really for true 2D fighter fans.

I don't care if it's multiplatform, i'm still getting it for PS3.
