Forums - Nintendo - IGN Reviews Sonic & the Black Knight (Ruh Roh!)

oh. btw. I'm not saying I won't buy this game if it doesn't do amazing on Metacritic. I have Sonic Unleashed for the PS3 and I actually enjoy it. What I'm saying is that I wanted the critics to be blown away by Nintendo.

Phew! At least I am not the only one.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Sounds like it was reviewed by a Wii basher, especially when they say you fight with "waggle".

Of course, everyone kinda knows that this was Sonic turned into a Zelda style game. Its like comparing on rails shooter to a FPS. Sounds like everyone knew, except the reviewer.

I'd like to see a few different reviews, get some proper feedback on gameplay outside of "why isn't sonic running and collecting rings?! oh noes! waggle!"

"tied to retarded Wii waggle "

this right here shows me he was going to rip the game regardless of how it might be

I think the waggle on the new Sonic games is different than the waggle on Zelda TP. In Zelda TP, you did attack with your sword by waggle, but that is only one weapon in your arsenol to use against the enemy. Plus, the game is slow paced, so you only need to flick your wiimote periodically. Boss fights used often required more than just the sword to defeat them, so it is more than just a "waggle fest".

Now keep in mind that I haven't played this game, so this is just what I have deduced from reading. I can see this game as Sonic running around very fast (after all, that is what he does) swinging his sword around (a lot) and killing a bunch of enemies that way. How are bosses defeated, probably by hitting them with the sword multiple times.

Now if that is the case, I can see why someone would complain about unnecessary waggle; I would.

They said they were looking forward to playing the full version in the preview. I guess they lied.

IGN isn't what it used to be. I'm not saying Sonic & the Black Knight is a good game, I'm just saing IGN is a terrible site nowadays.

I have a problem with the language more then the review. I mean seriously would the editor at Edge, or Nintendo Power let one of their reviewers get away with calling something "retarded"?

...I mean thats just unpro on SOOOOOO many levels, it's ridiculous.

The Interweb is about overreaction, this is what makes it great!

...Imagine how boring the interweb would be if everyone thought logically?

daaaaaahamn now what, now i dont know if i should still buy the game, what to do :(

i should change my sig too O_o

Improvements are caused by people who complain

Reviewer in general this gen are complete garbage in my opinion. Regardless of the game or the system it is filled with so many cry babies.

Theres some truth in what you speak, but it's not even that the maturity level has regressed, but what can be considered "professional" is very loose now in that industry.

...I think it's the realization that the core dem is small, and gaming is becoming mainstream is what hurts the most, lol.

sidenote: It sucks I can't get a profile pic to load, lol.
