I have both systems but I get multiplatform games on Xbox 360 because I prefer Xbox Achievements and it's controller.

I did download the demo for both systems. I noticed an odd outline around the models on the PS3 version that bothered me. In addition, the controls felt loose to me.

Do you have an HDTV?  I saw both demo's and never saw any line around the character models.

Yes I do. I have a Samsung that does 1080P. You can see these odd outlines when the guy is getting his head chopped off and the zombies are moving. It appears to me to be a result of bad motion blur or seams during motion blur. I should record it and post it. I'm surprised no one has mentioned it.

Yeah, I never saw that mysef as well.  It's possible you might have your edge enhanced and/ror sharpness up "too high."  It does effect different sources differently.

Hackers are poor nerds who don't wash.

I just sat down and re-reviewed the demo. I have both going through HDMI cables. I switched inbetween HDMI1 and HDMI2. The PS3 version looks more jaggy and I still see those aweful seam. It's most apparent when the guy with the bull horn sends the zombies running at you. Just do a side by side with both versions. The TV is at the same setting for both. For me, I can't see a reason to get a PS3 version over the 360 version at this point.

Interesting because both demos look the same here.  Still, check to see of edge enhancement and/or sharpness is turned up "too high."  It normally causes an artifical white outlining on objects dependng on the source.

I have already preordered my copy of Resident Evil 5 on the PS3. Why? Because Resident Evil has been traditionally on the Playstation; I was really annoyed when Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil 4 were GC exclusives (until Capcom made the smart choice to release RE4 for the PS2 and the Wii), but I really do feel that Resident Evil always should be played on the Playstation family. Oh, and I neither have an Xbox360, nor do I intend to get one.

System: Xbox 360
Why: Xbox Live & the 360 controller are much better for shooting.

NONE! because as much as i love re4 and even though re4 is one of my fav games ever, in no way im i gonna buy this game with HORRIBLE CONTROLS! so horrible i just puked. i mean what the hell where they thinking ruining the sequel to a masterpiece in gaming.

none because of horrible controls.

and in an re4 i NEVER had a problem. there were good. we are in another generation things have changed. and even if i went back and play re4 i bet i wouldnt had a problem with the controls, but re5 WTF?
