We've seen this generation that there really aren't any system sellers anymore. If GTA4 can't move many consoles then I fail to see how KZ2 will have it move 50% more in one week to overtake the 360, not even close.

The week of 8/31/08 was the last time PS3 > 360 for the week world wide.

close to 360 but not sure it'll pass it. Halo wars should give a little boost to the 360 with the HaloW/3 bundle....

Still that would be a 50% increase for PS3, when considering the holiday sales as a reference, that would be very good.

I would be shocked if the PS3 came anywhere near the Wii, at least assuming Wii Americas sales aren't on the see-saw they were last year, in which case it would be mere pot-luck for the PS3 getting over 2/3rds the Wii's WW sales.

It will be close, neverteless it will be good week for ps3.

The PS3 is about ~70 away from the 360 this week.

Next week we are going to add in Halo Wars for the 360 and Killzone 2 for the PS3.

Halo Wars already has 380k+ sales without NA.
Killzone 2 already has 750+ with NA.


This is going to be a very interesting week.

Definitely won't be close to Wii but could come close to 360.  Don't see Killzone selling enough systems to push it ahead of 360 though.  Will be bought mainly by those who already bought Resistance 1 or 2, COD4 or COD Modern Warfare.  And the Japanese market is too small to make much of a difference even though PS3 will be top there for the week.

no it will be in 3rd but closer to the 360 than previous weeks

now that the Eu numbers came in and ps3>360 by a tiny bit it should also have about a 10-15k advantage in japan so i wouldnt be surprised if it does come in 2nd

now it has a better shot since i didnt come in 3rd in Eu as many thought it would
