no there is no need to do that
as people should read the OP
if they don't then is it my fault?
if I had to add the "more than" thing into my title....it owuldn't all fit in due to the word limit on the title.

@RPG
at the time killzone 2 had no visible advantages over resistance 2 (except for grfx)......that was the reason for the thread
killzone 2 came from a franchise with a tarnished name & was up against a game which had its prequel sell over 3 million
how was he meant to know resistance 2 would be a boring game & then do well below expectations in sales
Basically the game has to do 1m first week worldwide or Sony lied out their ass about that pre-orders already well over a million thing. Unless 250k canceled their order between then and release day?
I have the game and am loving it although i think it is nowhere near as good as people are making it out to be. Looks wise it is not the best fps game i have played this gen, sound wise it is not the best sounding fps game i have played this gen, story wise...we'll were forget that one! Gameplay wise it is very very repetative but that is not a bad thing here. Some of the animations are a bit laughable i find like when your firing the turret guns and they give off the yellow glow, that looks horrible as if someone just did it on ms paint or something!
For a game that has supposedly having a gigantic marketing budget (2m here in uk alone) i expected more sales wise. It is a fps game, an exclusive fps game at that, a sequel. Selling 750k if the numbers are true is good, not bad but not great. It doesn't change the landscape one bit for Sony and this is what they had to do, what they tried to do. So in that regards it is dissapointing.
But it could get better, it could make a million as those are not official numbers just guess work. The game should go on to have awesome legs and sell really well. Which is good because it means more people for me to kill online :)

The pre-order numbers are what retailers pre-ordered from SONY....not consumers

Care to share where it says that because i don't think thats true. In fact i think you could be lying :)
David Reeves said that pre-orders had reached 1.1m in EUROPE ALONE.

@hruken
please
everytime SONY says a figure.....its always "SONY means shipped to retailers"
so is this figure
SONY said last week there are 21 million PS3's sold around the world
but everyone came to the conclusion.....thats a SHIPPEd number despite SONY saying SOLD (which is fair as SONY means tht everytime)
it is the same case here
last year SONY said GT5:P has 1 million pre-orders in EU.....its 1st week sales in EU were 400K....cus those 1 million pre-orders were retailer ones
I was not lying
Case closed

Ask anyone on this site, those are retailer pre-orders.

On the KillZone fansite they say it is "people" who have pre-ordered it. Either way if EU have "shipped" pre-orders of over 1m and supposedly Gamestop alone have 1m pre-orders in US should mean this game does better then 750k worldwide. Either that or the demand was not as high as Sony expected, because if what you and Darth say is true would mean it was Sony who decided to ship those numbers right?
Will probably go over 1 million first week. It deserves the sales. It is a really impressive game. Should satisfy my FPS needs until Modern Warfare 2.
