WRPG's
JRPG's always have people with rainbow spikey hair with swords/axes that are as big as a building, the guys looks like chicks, its super duper linear, most of them are turn based*yuck*, and always have a half naked 10 year old girl.

JRPG's-
I find that the stories there are usually better then that of a WRGS and the Main Characters have more personality. I know that WRPGs have that whole customize yourself into the game but because of the amount of customization options and the fact that any minor choices you make (Blowing up Megaton in fallout 3 changes dialouge and reactions to you from other NPC) can have a huge effect on your ending. Because of that the story in WRPG's suffer and become mediocre and predictable.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.
Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
I think i like both equally, they are different with WRPG having greater freedom, customisation and non linearity, and JRPG's being good stories with interesting character development.

But you have nothing to say about WRPGs, not even positive things? I guess that means you don't "like" RPGs no matter where they are from, but are at best indifferent towards them.
