GT Prologue dvd's have never been free.
I remember GT4 Prologue topping the Jap charts a few years ago.

People are still confusing some website hacks comments with the press release...

The first few lines at the top at the gaming-age article are commentry.

Someone needs traffic this month I bet.

Why does the world need to be filled with fanboys in denial.

LINK - Better come up with some more money!

Why does "Degeneration X" come to mind?

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

How often do you go to a store and pick up free Blu-ray discs?

Just curious ...

it could be a free demo disc, its plausible and about time we start getting free game demos on disc.

maybe free with another game, as a promo, but it will NOT be free to just wander in and pick up by itself. it probably won't cost much though, and that is ALOT of content.

The actual press release doesn't mention anything about price, buying or purchase, but i would guess they would have mentioned it being free in big and bold font if that were the case.

Still, stories from last week with quotes from Sony claim it will be free:

Again, here is my link to Sony Computer Entertainment Europe - Press Release in regards to your claims.  No where in there does it say free.

If it were free, don't you think Sony would say that?

The quote in the article from andamanen:

We contacted SCEI, and they said

"Yes, it will be free for download on the PSN, and we are thinking of charging---but doubt it. For now it is free."

Notice your source.  Playstation Universe.  Copyright 2006-2007 GameBurst Media Ltd. All Right Reserved. So some guy from a website makes a call to their deep internal source at Sony.

A quote from the February 26, 2007 press release from SCEE on Gran Turismo HD Concept:

First sentence:

1. A big year for Gran Turismo starts with a free download for PS3 owners

Later...

2. "Gran Turismo HD Concept will be amongst its first offerings. A playable one-track glimpse of the next stage in the iconic motoring title’s evolution, Gran Turismo HD Concept is available as a free download for PS3 owners from PLAYSTATION®Store (PS Store), PLAYSTATION®Network’s download site. "

3. Select Gran Turismo HD Concept and download for free

4. Gran Turismo HD Concept is free to download from PS Store

Notice if you read this press release the word FREE shows up 4 times in a ~250 word press release, once in the first sentence.

Please continue to explain your reasoning, I find it amusing.

Oh, and

Gran Turismo 4 PrologueSony0.790.000.571.36

They are going to make a sequel to a million seller for free to go along with the other billions of dollars that they have been generously giving to people who own PS3's. As Borat would say: "Not"

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

@steven787: You fail at reading because I said I think they will charge for it, but that this press release doesn't indicate either way.

I've explained this over and over again

Try again.

No need to further argue, gents. Morgyn's point is solely that the official press release doesn't say anything about charging for the game, but he still thinks it won't be free. It's really a moot point.
