They expect me to pay 150 dollars to repair my PS3 even though its only out of warranty by 2 weeks.. So I officially hate them because they refused to fix it even though itstheir fault.
That stinks. But hate is such a strong word...

Why isn't hating companies healthy? Companies can treat people very poorly and there is a very good reason for many people to hate a company.

Well a contract is a contract. There's really nothing one can do about that. Mine wa a month out of warranty and I paid the $150. It's just business practice.

That can actually be fixed by a third party for much less but I advise against it. Sony'll send you a new one if they mess up. A third party probably won't and then you'll never be able to get sony to fix it again.

Well as much as that sucks I dont think you should "Hate" Them.....I mean if you suffered something like the RROD during when it first happened and MS refused to acknowledge the problem and told you to buy a new system THATS when you start Hating...but this? this is just stupid and childish

It's out of warranty. I have had a similar problem before with my TV (not Sony)
and got the same answer as you did (must pay to fix it).
After I found out that my visa card would have covered it, but I had already paid for the repairs.
What company would fix something out of warranty? Even only a week.
I am sure many would "claim" otherwise though.
Companies stick to contracts like glue when that contract = them getting more money.
