Forums - Sony - KZ2 breaks sales records in Poland(30K in 2 days)

@Max: Don't really matter what they expect. It's February not April and Killzone 2 is already out. The interview is from a month ago. So far PS3 was selling around 3.5k per week so not much have changed (it's slow time of the year).

It's actually pretty stupid from them to expact 25k in 3 months (unless a price cut is planned) but you know how it is with predictions. They often aren't anything to go by. But that's just another story.

I don't know anything about first Killzone being a hit or one of the highest selling game in PS library (if you got any link I would appreciate it).

^ 3.5 x 4 = 14k + 75k = 89k (i was also assuming those numbers were current and not from last finanicial report)

Well, this should be shipped numbers and I think it includes bundles, so it wouldn't be quite as high as 40%.

At the risk of offending people from Poland, I will say this:
Who ends up mentioning Poland as a reason to get pumped for anything, unless you are selection someone from there as Pope? It reminds me of the former President Bush talking about Poland being in the "Coalition of the Willing" awhile back.

This is a reach to get pumped. Back in the day, the Atari 8Bit computer crowd would talk about how popular the Atari 8bit computers were in Eastern Europe.

Waiting worldwide sales next week on the game. Will be interesting to see if it beats out Street Fighter 4.

@richard:
I'm not sure what's your problem. I don't see anyone getting pumped about those sales. It may be strange to you but there are actually are people that are interested in games sales in various smaller regions and vgchartz forum is the right place to discuss those sales. If you are not interested than I really can't see the reason you're posting here.

That's... Great... I think :S. Sounds like a pretty small market.

What other games have people posting about sales in Poland?  The hypefest behind KZ2 is going off about sales in Poland and the home country of the developers of GG.  Only time I hear talk about countries like Poland or other very small markets is from the Playstation 3 crowd looking for some reason to get pumped up.  Please show otherwise, and I can stand corrected.

Nope.  I have heard it said that I may be in NEED of a wonderful degree OF psychiatry though.

Now that we got that out of the way, there is no need for you to say it.
