Forums - Sony - Will this harm Killzone 2's multiplayer in the long run?

In case you haven't noticed, whenever you bail from an online match, all your progress from that match doesn't get saved. So let's say you're playin online, doin really well, but then all the sudden you have to step away from the game......or you just wanna play a different map. If you exit, all your work in that game goes down the drain.

Combine this with the fact that some Ribbons require you to meet certain goals in a match, and they're not always easy to do.

As more people find out about this, should we start expecting more players standing around doing nothing (while they're busy doin somethin outside the game)?

I never realised that..hmm.

That is the same in Gears of War 2, though I don't really like it, especially as games can be quite long

In Gears you get punished for leaving, at least that is what Epic is saying. Anyway I hate it, should just be like Halo although that still doesn't stop people from leaving games entirely.

 That's why I hate it.

I was playin online and the match was gettin pretty long. Was abit hungry, but noticed I was gonna get a ribbon for Good Conduct (oh the irony), so I just left my guy standin there while I went to the kitchen.

Look on the bright side though - next time I'll make my own squad so the members could respawn off me, then I'll at least be a little useful =p

Some games just stretch on forever , especialy when certain objectives don't get completed.

The seamless transition from one mode to another is nice in theory but not very well executed.

Oh BTW why is the OP worried about the people who are doing good?? If you are doing good wont you just keep playing?? It's the people who are doing bad that will leave all of the time.

Anybody can have legitimate reasons for suddenly leaving, and with games lasting quite long, I could see it become a problem. Hopefully GG can fix it, if it turns out to be serious.

No i beleive it should stay that way, punish you for leaving. this is a launch so there are no problems with leaving atm but once things settle down rooms wont always be full. and then you're going to leave the game unbalanced. i refuse to play with bots as well. I got stuck in a game where a bots kept picking up the propoganda speaker and running the absolute worst route littered with enemies.

CURRENTLY PLAYING:  Warframe, Witcher 2

Perhaps who knows, even in Cod4 if u leave a game that will count as lost so people should know about it.
