@Spedfrom: If you were grinding, you were playing it wrong. This game should not require grinding ever unless you're going after some seriously ridiculous optional bosses.

@-Newcloud-: Vaan isn't the main character, he's just the first permanent perspective you have.

Made so many unqualified (which is to say, unexplained) arguments. Now I have to ignore them!

i loved ff12 especially the cool charahcters like balthier............... but i gave up on section just before last dungeon the part where you have to walk across all them branches and warps.

it frustrated me so much i traded it in.

I'm playing FF12 right now (I had it for years but never played it). First, it was a bit hard to watch all those low def graphics, but now I just love it. Much more innovation in this game than in any current gen JRPG so far. Matsuno was a master, I hope he'll develop a new game soon.

I thought FFXII was great.
The story was good enough, but what I hated were the characters. They are extremely dull and forgettable. And that's really confusing, cause I figger if you have few characters, you make extra effort to make them memorable. But that's about the only thing I disliked in the game.
The overall experience was satisfying. Sound track wasn't the best, but it was good. Art design was excellent. Dialog and voice acting were suberb. Battle system was good (although haters will hate), optional content was very nice, although I felt previous entries had more of that.
Good content, great production values (although as a JRPG lover, I could care less about that), good music and if it wasn't for some ridiculously dull characters, the game would've been excellent.

The gameplay is great I clocked over 120 hours in that game and I rarely do that, there so much you can do in it, I just fished all the Hunts, took a hell of a long time to do. But there are things I didn't like, like the characters, and I couldn't except Vaan to be the main character, anyone else would of been a better candidate.

Also I didn't understand the story line very much, but that's my fault I played this game in sections (played it for a couple months, stopped playing it for a month, continued playing it for a couple months, stopped again for a month etc). So I fergot certain parts.
