It have to go with either Mario or the Contra games. I was also a real big fan of RBI Baseball. Some of the younger genertion may not know about that series.

Mine would be Metroid. But it doesn't see as much attention as the other series. And I didn't like Prime as much as the 2D games. Not that Prime was bad, but the speed and ease of exploration that the 2D games pioneered was lost in the 3D games.
