I don't even have to read your whole post to say you're right. Oblivion is one of my greatest games ever and though I was never really interested Fallout 3 I didn't like it at all.

I know a lot of people that hate RPGs so no you're not the only one

I'm in the same boat. It looks fantastic, I liked the gameplay aswell. For some reason however, I just played it less and less until I stopped. May have been because I did more sidequests than the mainquest (I really didn't get far with the main quest). I'll give it another try some time though, for sure.

Sorry didnt read your post, but no you are not the only one. Many Fallout 1-2 fans didnt like Fallout 3.
I did like it though.
Sounds like you're either not very good at this game or you're trying to complete quite difficult missions on a low stat level and/or weak weapons. I can take out a Super Mutant Brute with a few shots from the Gauss Rifle (OA DLC)
I quite like this game. Loads to do as you'd expect. Can be a bit of a chore but that goes for all RPG's not just Fallout 3
How dare you! This game is awesome. My favorite game last year.
I like it, but I can't play it for more than a half hour at a time. Currently, I still have not beaten the game, but I'm playing it every now and again.
My advise is spend your next 2-3 levels pouring all your skill points on Small Guns or Big Guns and getting perks that help your gun skill. Also learn to use your hand to hand weapons early in the game to conserve ammo.
You might also want to check out the new DLC Operation Anchorage for a snowy environment which will change the scenery for you for a while, but I dont know whether this is good advise because you have to spend 800 MS points. In some parts, this was deemed too much for 3-4 hours extra gameplay. I certainly enjoyed it, and got 2 very powerful weapons for keeps in the end - sword and Gauss rifle.

I probably would have paid 800 points for just the gauss rifle. That thing is sick!
