Wenlan: they are specifically talking about their Western 2009 line-up.

Also, Capcom already announced the new Monster Hunter for PSP in the latest Famitsu, they just didn't give us the name.

February 25, 2009 - Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G was Japan's best selling game last year. In fact, the top three PSP games of all time in Japan all have the words Monster Hunter in their titles.

So it probably shouldn't come as a surprise to learn that Capcom is doing another Monster Hunter game for the system.

Capcom's Keiji Inafune made things somewhat official in an interview featured in the latest issue of Famitsu. Without getting into specifics, he said that Capcom is setting its sights on the next PSP entry in the series.

He did admit that he's not sure if it will be called "3rd," and that he expects it to be a ways off. But it appears PSP owners in Japan can look forward to more from the series.

Of course, we're still waiting for 2nd G to come our way as Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, so all this talk of sequels is a bit pointless.

Yeah, it includes 3rd parties, they are talking about their 2009 PSP line-up in general.

Wow.. a PSP resurrection?


I didn't see it coming but this recent slew of upcoming games definitely puts it back on the map..



Predictions.

1. Wii will never reach 50% market share.

2. Kz2 will sell 1.3 first week 3.5 LT.
Sales predictions for 09.

Wii - 69 - 72
PS3 - 32 - 34
X360 - 39 - 41

Maybe I'm way off, but isn't White Knight Chronicles a trilogy? One version could actually be for the PSP, with 4 players ad hoc and/or infrastructure.

I think you could be onto something here - especially since Level 5 love to develop for PSP.

Actually - this concerns me.

While it's great for the PSP - which badly needs the infusion - and might be smart of Sony because in Japan and NA at least DS demand is ebbing and so there's room for PSP to grow and be a late blossomer.

However - I'm worried that this, combined with Sony's restructuring and the PS3's current position in the market that the fact that Sony has obviously decided to put so much focus on development for PSP means they are tactically giving up on PS3 - and possibly consoles altogether. Not to say they'll cancel the PS3 but they may just do like Nintendo with the GC and just let it fade out with relatively little support.
