Well, let me give you an idea of the types of things that annoy the daylights out of me in Twilight Princess.
The boomerang. It's a neat gimmick and a cool tool. Use of it became tedious very quickly, though. In the couple of places where I had to use it to open a door, move a ramp, or something similar, I had to do so repeatedly. There is no reason to make me do it more than once to open a door, gate, etc.
Collecting Gems. I am sick -- really sick -- of smashing pottery and grass to get gems. Couldn't they come up with something new since this is, what, like the 37th game in the series to use that formula?
The dungeons. Why must you wander all over the damn thing to find a key to another door far away? It's tedious. Furthermore many areas of the game require all sorts of jumps from platform to platform and a fall means you have to start all over again. Some of these sequences are LONG and TEDIOUS and a mistake where I fall and have to start over makes me want to gouge out my eyes with a garden spade.
Many of the sub-tasks are just downright annoying. Hey, I've got a great idea for a game! Let's play "chase the bandwagon and try to keep if from being burned". We'll go round and round in circles for days on end till the user figures it out! Hey, it'll be fun!
I was ready to quit TP after the whole "hawk/monkey/baby basket fiasco in the beginning. Ugh.
Climbing long vines. Damn, link moves slow. Here, hold this little analog stick "up" for me and call me when he reaches the top. I'm going to take a nap...
And an even bigger annoyance. Re-spawning enemies. I step out of the door. Oops, I forgot something -- let me go back. Damn, now I have to go pick up that stupid bomb spider and throw it in the mouth and.... Hey, let's do it over and over again -- what fun!
That's just Twilight Princess. Don't get me started on Wind Waker. UGH!
If there is any sort of this formula in MP3, I'll hate it.
In all seriousness, I'm not hating on Nintendo or the Wii. I like several of the games I've played so far. I don't like the twilight princess style of adventure, though and that's unfortunate because there are some games (OoT anyone) in the series that are stellar. As I have come to despise the format and series, I'm only helping my daughter when she gets stuck. Outside of that I don't watch it any more. Thankfully she's near the end and it will get traded in for something else.
I hate trolls.
