Forums - Nintendo - What went wrong with Deadly Creatures

I will get it eventually...

When I've got the money, I'm going to make sure I buy this title new. I don't normally purchase titles I'm mostly neutral on, but this one needs bought.

Your other one was more creative. How 'bout "Return to Bug Island"? :P

To be honest I will buy this game as soon as I have the cash for it, because HotD was the first choice, but it's really sad to see this sales. They should have used the Trailer were they did the animations with the scorpion for advertising (loved that one). But on the other hand I have to say, that some things aren't right. I know about the game and so I like the cover but from a neutral point I would never think of that game from the cover and the title. And after all it's right what many said: Nobody knows about this game. Even if every user of this site would buy this game, it wouldn't be enough and even some here don't know about it. I still believe this title will have legs (It needs some not that it gets discontinued before I got my copy ^^) and I hope they can at least break even.

^ im the exact opposite, other than Madworld (26th march here) i decided DC over HOTD purely for uniqueness.

I don't even know if THQ did 50 cent ads on tv but they are clearly needed for both.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Deadly Creatures and Overkill are both great games. I hope they have legs.

Somehow I think this game will have great legs based on Word of Mouth.Only hardcore gamers would want to play this and mostly hardcore gamers would here about this by word of mouth and actually decide to get it.
