Apparently DE blob on the wii has sold 700K

El presidente de THQ, Brian Farrel admitió en una conferencia organizada por el sector financiero que de Blob y Big Beach Sports han sido éxitos de ventas en Wii y alcaró su estragia con respecto a la consola de Nintendo, que pasa por competir con ésta.

"En estos momentos competimos con Nintendo. Ahí es donde tenemos que atacar. [Queremos que] la gente que compra juegos Nintendo compre cosas como de Blob".

Unas 700.000 personas en todo el mundo se han hecho con el plataformas sin la necesidad de rebajar su precio. "Ahí es donde tenemos que hacer dinero", reconoció Farrell. El de deportes de verano ha funcionado mejor, y son ya 1.300.000 las copias vendidas.

La compañía ha dividido su estrategia en tres pilares: los juegos de alta calidad "a la Nintendo", los juegos medios como Big Beach Sports y los títulos basados en licencias como sus exclusivas con Nickelodeon.

Para el futuro, THQ está desarrollando un juego aún no publicado dirigido a un nicho de mercado muy claro, aclaró Farrel.

He also said that the new strategy with the wii, is to actually compete with Nintendo games.

The company has divided it's strategy into 3: 1.- High quality games "a la Nintendo", Games of medium quality like Big beach sports and titles based on nickeloden licenses.
