The origional sold pretty well - 1.4 million, according to the figures here - and recieved decent reviews (a 79 on metacritic). And Sony obviously haven't forgotten about the IP, as they're still releasing Heavenly Sword costumes for LBP.

So what do you think? Could a Heavenly Sword 2 happen? Obviously it'd be by different developers, as Ninja Theory are busy working on a new multiplat game.

Personally, I'd love it to happen, and think hope that it will. And the developers would be sharing tech with Sony Santa Monica, so the sequal would be even more of a stunning visual fest then the already beautiful origional.

Possibly, the IP is certainly worth something.

Sony own the IP so my guess is that is anyone is going to do it Santa Monica will after GOW III.

Well GoWIII is the last game of the franchise ... Santa monica could develop a Heavenly sword 2 easily.

if they made it, it would probably be at a different era seeing as how the first game ended.. I don't expect any of the cast of the first game to wield the sword again (hurr avoiding spoilers incase anyone who hasn't played it coming in)
It would be awesome though. I really liked the first game. A sequal would be great.

She was an awesome char and i'd love for her to be in a new game. But i really doubt that she would wield the sword. I say this in particular to both the mental change she had at the end of the game and because all you use with her is a bow and arrow. Infact it doesn't really seem like she can do close combat at all. (atleast she can't when you play as her)
