We had a lot of people last year saying it would happen for December 31st 2008 or early in 2009 but if you look at the numbers it isn't there yet and it isn't happening in the next few weeks.( the gap is 2.15 millions and for the foreseable next 2-3 months it looks like in Japan at least Wii will sell bellow 50% of the hardware)

Do people still think the Wii will get there and when ?

We already had this thread recently and many people are expecting 50% Wii marketshare to happen late Spring to mid-summer, IIRC.

People have been let go of the Dec, 31st predictions. I'm guessing you ignored those threads.
