Forums - Nintendo - 'Moon' sells fewer then 1,500 copies during month of january

Sure it's sad Moon didn't sell well (I'm enjoying it!) but it's not like DS is lacking in good games.

I thought you were talking about Harvest Moon. Never heard of Moon.

Look Hannah Montana is coming to PSP. Lets not kid ourselves here, if no one believes an fps can fly on the Wii what hope does the DS have

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Yeah, same.  And I didn't realize DS was hurting for hard core games?  When did that happen?

It's a good FPS.

FPS games have never translated well to portable anyway, for me.

DS has a pointing device though. It's not as good as a mouse+keyboard, but it's better than not having a pointing device at all - like a gamepad.

Can gamecock sell anything?

Gamecock didn't publish Moon. It published Renegade Kid's previous game, Dementium: The Ward.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

I genuinely find it surprising so many people don't know about this game. I haven't been tracking it on other sites, but IGN gave it a ton of press on its site and podcast. Like I said, I don't own a DS (nor do I follow it much), but I was aware of the hype they were putting behind it. Maybe no one else was though.

The brown contradicts the red.

I don't see how. Maybe I worded it oddly. I was aware of the hype ign was putting behind it. However, maybe no one besides ign was (hyping it). I doubt that is the case, but I could be wrong, I have no idea.

Here's my point I guess. I follow each console to a degree but I mostly follow the wii cause that's the system I own. However, I was hearing buzz about "Moon" (DS) from ign despite not regularly following that part of the site. I'm not like challenging anyones gamer cred or whatever, some games slip through the cracks for everyone, but I'm just surprised that so many people who frequant a video game forum were unaware of a game that was highly recommended on the premier video game site for a handheld they own.

Perhaps you didn't hear anything about Moon on other sites indicates that only IGN is hyping it?
