Playing games means following certain rules. And with rules come constraints. Having said that, how do you design games based on powerful superhero characters such as Superman and Iron Man? They can fly. They're fast. They have some projectile-like powers (heat vision and unibeam). They're strong. They can take a BIG hit (so puny weapons won't do).
With Batman, I can imagine a stealth game like MGS or Splinter Cell coupled with some driving sections with the Batmobile. That would be a passable (and believable) game. But the aforementioned two, how do you do it without nerfing them?
Any thoughts?

I loved Ultimate Alliance, too. But somehow, because of the brawler constraints of UA, I shut down my disbelief detector for Iron Man (and Thor, too). I mean, if we were really nitpicky about it, Iron Man could have flown directly to the objective (leaving friends behind), and with the StarkTech technology behind him, he could've nuked every opponent in sight.

Well, if devs won't bother to try, it'll be a self-fulfilling prophecy. But then again, with the talks of a Superman movie reboot, we'll get the inevitable game anyway.

That's a great idea.

lol. Maybe you have to say something controversial to keep the thread going. jk.
Anyway, somehow we need to send this idea across the interwebz so that they make a good Iron Man game next time. I hear Sega got the movie-to-game license again, and I'm assuming the team that made the first Iron Man game (and Golden Axe Beast Rider) will take the helm again.
