I loved Ultimate Alliance, too. But somehow, because of the brawler constraints of UA, I shut down my disbelief detector for Iron Man (and Thor, too). I mean, if we were really nitpicky about it, Iron Man could have flown directly to the objective (leaving friends behind), and with the StarkTech technology behind him, he could've nuked every opponent in sight.
