Dead Space
Diddy Kong Racing. Man I love that game. Took me a long time to beat too, because I really wanted to get everything. And finally, finally finally FINALLY beating Wizpig (best name ever for a nemesis in videogame history btw) just felt so incredibly good. Loved it.
On a different note, a game whose ending was definitely not rewarding: Okami Wii. What. The. Fudge. I spent over 60 hours on that game getting every single sliver of collectible stuff and doing every teensy weensy little sidequest, and in the end I totally destroy this epic boss, and what do I get? A kick right back into the start menu, that's what I get. Not even a single tiny ending movie. Pah.

-Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
-Mass Effect (this is my number one though)
-Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...
Super Mario 64: As soon as I collected all 120 of the stars, I started over and did it again right away. After that, I did it again.... and again! I played it so much that I got to a point where I could get all 120 stars in one play through. Sometimes I would just sit down, beat it, go to school in the morning.
Megaman Zero 3: Ahh, the 2nd greatest 2D platformer in the history of gaming. I played the game so much, I could beat it on it's hardest setting in under 3 hours. I can't do it anymore sadly...
MS Saga: A new Dawn: It took me over 100 hours to beat it, since I did just about everything. The only thing I never did was unlock Burning Gundam. I could not beat that damn thing.

Okami is the only game I really wish hadn't ended. I could have played the story on and on for forever...

FF7:CC for PSP. Just devastating in the end, yet amazing right after what-you-thought-was-the-end.
Also D&D Treasure of Tarmin for intellivision. getting to the bottom, with the platinum book, was bitter sweet.
Trying to convince me the Wii is a real adult game machine 'if you play it right' is like trying to convince me Tofu tastes great 'if you just cook it right'
wish god of war 2 continued on an extra 12 hours. Heavenly sword I wish could continue on for another 20 hours. Folklore's ending was very rewarding.
| Neptune said: Halo 3, not because it was amazing but because it was short and too easy. I thought there was no way it was really done this quickly. Fallout 3 - Just the fact that it actually ends is bad. I wish you could keep playing after the ending. But great game though. |
Yeah I agree
*Potential Spoiler alert below*
I still can't understand why that supermutant buddy of yours couldn't flip the damned switch on the purifier. s/he'd already shown that s/he was immune to radiation poisoning when it fetched the damed eden device from that vault and then blabs on about how "oh it's your destiny, not mine" or some such bullshit. really pissed me off.
But yeah, awesome game otherwise
