So let me guess,  you think mario party is the same thing as Super Mario Galaxy now?  Your logic has all kinds of holes in it.  And you never even answered the question I had for you (nice avoidance).  When was the last time you went in and bought a game you had no nowledge about for around $60 bucks?  

Most of the games you mention there have a # after them so you have an idea what it is.  Games like mario party etc... are well known not to be the same type game just like halo wars.  

Ahh yeah I guess FF and mario are bad examples but I didn't feel like thinking of any other big games..

virtua fighter.. wanted a fighting game to enjoy with friends and was familiar with the franchise..

TES4.. saw it in walmart and thought it looked interesting..

SvR08.. once again saw it and was familiar with the franchise and bought it..

nope.. I didn't see commercials I didn't go online to read a review I didn't look it up..

these were games I saw in the store and bought because they looked interesting..

I don't really like to look games up for the most part I like to be surprised hah..

It's a poor analogy, though. Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. Elder Scrolls IV. Smackdown vs. Raw 08. You had to know what to expect.

If Halo 4 turned out to be an RTS instead of an FPS, I'd see your point. But as for Halo Wars preying on the uninformed... all they have to do is turn the box around.

Yes, but it's quite a stretch to say you didn't know what those games - direct sequels to games with which you were familiar - would be like.

yeaah but in all fairness I've never played an ES game before or even heard of it annnnd I haven't played a smackdown game since here comes the pain due to a drop in quality..
