SW sales for 1st week in NA

MGS4 - 665,902

Call of Duty 4 - 233,341

Call of Duty WoW - 392,430

Resistance - 42,483

Resistance 2 - 236,846

i have MGS4 in the title b/c its the most similar in terms of release time KZ2 comes out on the 27th only1 or 2 days of data wen the #'s come in next week, MGS4 came out on the 12th of june and the weeks #s were cut off on the 14th and it seems that the hype of KZ is as big or bigger than MGS was

All the other games i have listed are there b/c they are similar in genre and were good FPS like KZ is but they had more time to develop sales

im made this thread b/c i was looking at the NA prediction league and i was seeing some high #'s even one that was 1,099,999 for 1st week sales thats insane

Im still pondering wat KZ will do for 1st week but as of right now im thinking it will do some where in the 380k- 500k 320k-450k range or right at 370k and not beat MGS's first week NA sales i need some more pondering time to come up with a definite answer though

In other sales news how bout them Japan 360 HW #'s in the JP preview

I don't think so....I think it will be around 500k

Really? Why did MGS4 have 6 (or if 6 is the norm, why is KZ2 getting 3)

And with that info I may have to lower expectations a little... maybe 400-450k

No, don't think so.. recession and not as strong IP as MGS and lastly i m not sure how much they have advertised.. and no bundles either.

i dont get wat U mean KZ2 on many games store site say ships on the 27th which in most cases means in will be in the stores on the 28th

the home page #s say 2/14 then it will be 2/21 b/c 14+7=21 then 21+7=28 so the dat will only be up to the 28th 1 or 2 days of SW sales data

same with MGS4 it was released on the 12 and the #s for that week came in on the 14th of June how did u get 6 days of data

somebody correct me with my logic if im wrong

From my personal experience games usually release on Tuesday here in the US, but for some odd reason KZ2 is releasing on Friday. If they stuck the normal schedule everyone has been using forever the game would have been coming out tomorrow.

I'd say probably between CODWaW and MGS4, around 450-500k.

You know what, you are absolutely right. I completely forgot that MGS 4 released on a Thursday.

With KZ2 it will be available for pickup on Friday the 27th from what I heard at my local Gamestop. Isn't Sunday the final sales day? That would make 3. MGS4 would have had 4, my mistake.

So we have 2 games I now know of that broke the routine.

I have no clue,Nobody really does.

Every prediction is just a guess at this point.The game is being released under incredibly different circumstances than the previous titles(great reviews,heavy advertising,and huge amounts of hype)

Again,not a soul could honestly give an accurate estiment.
