To be fair, it wasn't merely, "U DONT LIEK HALO WARZ??? FACK U!!!" He said quite specifically why he feels that they didn't understand the game.

Given that it's Gamespot, it's pretty plausible that they didn't understand. They have some of the most random reviews I've ever seen in my life.

 

If gamestop had given it 9/10 he wouldn't have complained about them being unreliable. And even if we were to state why we think people don't understand Killzone , according to Madskillz We are not rooted by reality and are blinded by our fanboy ways.

Do people generally argue with somebody who agrees with them, though? I think Gamespot is a steaming pile, but if they post a review with which I agree, I'm more likely to nod my head than I am to go on a rant about how Gamespot does precious few reviews anymore, how they're usually late, and how most of their reviews suck shit.

Example: The same PS3 fans who hate Edge so much were pretty happy when LBP got Edge's game of the year award. They didn't seem to think it had less credibility because it was Edge, and I sure didn't see any rantings about how much "Edge sux!!!" or anything like that... nor did I expect to see such.

Yes 360 fanboys come here every day posting of the following.

1.How there system has the best Specs
2.How there system has graphics as good as Crysis
3.How there system will catch the other system in sales
4.Everygame will save the 360,It will be huge and sell millions.
5.The game has the best graphics.
6.Every time a review comes out with anything lower than an 8 they discard the review as etiher,Paid by the opposing company or fanboy or Nobodys.

Damn the 360 fanboys,Leave Britney PS3 ALONE!

BadgeNome, I believe the only reason EDGE gave LBP a 10 was because it was a product from UK , And yes I myself will say that EDGE are unreliable and generally don't meet my views on games, Same as gamespot.

I think double standards abound. People on "both sides" get called out, sure, but generally not by the same people. You don't often see PS3 fans calling down fire on other PS3 fans for hypocrisy or for spouting nonsense. Ditto 360 fans. It's just the two camps constantly sniping at each other and pretending that the other side is somehow worse than they are.

I swear... I think it's bad enough to see some of the arguments that people get into over games (e.g. which version of a multiplatform game is better and grasping at straws to prove why, etc.), but arguing over who has the worst fans/fanboys is downright absurd.
